The recent Healthcare Appreciation Event held at Queens General Hospital served as a heartfelt tribute to the nurses and doctors of Queens County. The event brought together a community of healthcare professionals, local businesses, and organizations to express gratitude and celebrate the heroes who work tirelessly to keep us safe and healthy.
A Grateful Gathering
With an impressive turnout of 60 attendees, the event created a warm and welcoming atmosphere filled with appreciation and camaraderie. From the early morning hours, the attendees were greeted with a scrumptious breakfast provided by Galeforce Feasts, setting the tone for a day of appreciation.
Throughout the event, the healthcare professionals were pampered with delectable snacks from Main & Mersey, providing them with moments of indulgence amidst their demanding schedules. The highlight of the day was the delicious lunch served by Route 3 Cellar, and entertainment by Amy Grant & Tim Whynot, Maurice Gave and Alex Wentzell.
The event aimed to welcome the new Doctors and health professionals at Queens County, and to further strengthen the bond between healthcare professionals and the local community. The Milton Canoe and Camera Club was at the event letting everyone know about their program. The Region of Queens Municipality’s participation underscored the importance of collaboration between local government and healthcare providers in fostering a healthy and vibrant community.
Expressing Appreciation
To express gratitude to the attendees, several door prizes were given away. There were 35 Queens Treasure Boxes, filled with locally made treasures that encapsulated the spirit of the county. Dozens of gift cards from various Queens County businesses were also distributed, allowing the recipients to enjoy a well-deserved treat or explore the offerings of their local community.
